This is what Summer smells like...

It's amazing how just a few blooms can fill an entire room with
yummy fragrance. :)

So stinkin clever!

How's this for a makeover? These used to be ordinary, unassuming clear glass vessels. You know, the kind that are unloved and overlooked?
Here's the McLinky to Creative Little Daisy. She'll give you the 411 on her ingenius idea! But before you go, grab a cup of coffee and plan on staying awhile. I'm just sayin...

Lamp Love!

Isn't this sweet! If you're up for a project, here's the how-to.

Found at Vintage Junky...coffee sack lampshade. love. love. love.

And check out this sexy little number I found at Dreamy Whites. Be still my heart.

Time to fire up the glue gun!

First, I am happy, no ecstatic, to report I found a source for burlap sacks, which I will share soon!

Onto an inspiring idea I found this morning at Belle Maison. It's my three favorite things...Funky, easy and cheap!

I love the industrial looking brackets. I can also see this done with old wood corbels (with chippy paint, of course) rusty wrought iron. I've gotta go find some old books!

Have a happy, albeit dreary, Thursday! I'm off to go play in the rain. :)

That sort of thing IS my bag, baby....

OK, hopefully you'll get the Austin Powers reference there. I'm searching...on the hunt for burlap grain, coffee, potato sacks. I HAVE to find some.

Why, you ask? Because I'm officially obsessed with this look:

Must. Find. Them.

Happy Tuesday!

TV Table Love...

There's a super cute store in Wasilla that transforms cast-off furniture into one-of-a-kind pieces. I picked up this long, narrow table to hold my obnoxious, big screen TV in the living room. (Come on, nobody really likes those things, do they?)

I'm gonna be a really bad Blogger and screw up the name of the store, I'm sure, but I want to say it's 7th Ave? It's right next to the Gelato place on KGB. If you get a Gelato, and you MUST get one, tell Pasha I said hi! He probably has no idea what my name is, but just tell him Lemon Granita says hello.

Anywho, about the table. It's been lovingly distressed with a few layers of paint. I can see some red and aqua peeking out from beneath the black glaze on top. And it has a beautiful decal on the top, that's unfortunately hidden by the behemoth tv.

The only problem is the components, like the DVD player, dont have a home. Mine is temporarily sitting on top of an ammo box I picked up at a flea somewhere.

I have a thing for old wood crates and boxes, and if they have cool graphics, even better.

It does a great job of hiding all the DVDs and remotes.
